Partida Creus VN Sparkling Red 2018

Partida Creus Vinel·lo Ancestral is a sparkling wine without denomination of origin produced by the winery Celler Partida Creus in Bonastre (Baix Penedés), Tarragona.
Celler Partida de Creus is a small winery designed by Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori in an industrial warehouse that was remodelled with recycled materials. Partners and producers of Slow Food apply this philosophy to the vineyard, respecting nature to the fullest and recovering old traditions in the lands they cultivate.
The winery has small plots with narrow rows of vines, thus avoiding invasive mechanical work. This, alongside the absence of chemical treatments, emphasizing biodynamic cycles and moon phases, result in a very limited production of grapes of an excellent biological quality.
Partida Creus Vinel·lo Ancestral (VN)is a sparkling wine made with the ancestral method, using Grenache, Ull de Perdiu, Sumoll, Queixal de Llop, Carignan, Garrut and Trepat, from vineyards planted on clayey-calcareous soils.
The harvest is performed by hand. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they macerate with the stems, and after the stomping, the musts ferment one after another as they are added, lengthening the fermentation of the whole. For the fermentation they use native yeasts. It finishes the fermentation in the bottle, resting with its fine lees for a minimum of 10 months. Without added sulphur dioxide.
It is a light and fruity sparkling wine. On the nose, the aromas of fresh red fruit stand out, with notes of flowers and yeast. In the mouth, it is easy to drink with a long and refreshing finish.
