Los Amantes mezcal is distilled by hand and is made from 100% Espadín agave in the region of Tlacolula, in the state of Oaxaca. The maguey is traditionally baked in stone ovens and is then ground in an Egyptian-type mill made of stones that have been moved by horses. This joven mezcal is a beautiful beverage that will debunk your perception of mezcal. Mild in smokiness, you will be pleased to find it herbaceous, fruity, and even a little floral with a citrus finish. While it will mix well in cocktails, it is best enjoyed on the rocks or neat (with or without a lime). Muddle some mint or peaches for a refreshing year-round cocktail.
