The Bérèche domain's Brut Réserve is a solid introduction into this noteworthy Champagne estate. Made from equal parts Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, this is powerful yet friendly on the palate with a dosage in the range of 8 g/L. The base wine is vinified in older Burgundy barrels. This practice adds a complexity that's difficult to describe but easy to taste. An impressive bottling from an equally impressive winemaker, Raphaël Bérèche.
