The original Macallan 50 year was produced from three casks dated between 1926 and 1928 and bottled in 1983… so technically older than 50 years. 500 bottles were released at a natural cask strength of 38.6%(a no longer legal under strength). This is bottle #327 of 500. It comes with the original letter of authenticity from Allan G. Schiach, chairman of Macallan-Glenlivet distillery.
